Those birds are symbolizing black magic and witchcraft. But why that big crow is so often portrayed in that kind of art? The reason is that witches must hide their identity, and real witchcraft and black magic are actually making some poisons by using natural vegetables and mushrooms. But the problem with witches was that if they caught by sheriffs, they would die in the bonfire. So the witches must grow their vegetables like Belladonna and destroy angels in far away from the house, where that person lives. And actually, they must use plantations, what looks like natural. And also they must know the location of those vegetables.
