The underground nuclear tests were only allowed test form after the partial nuclear test ban treaty, what prohibited nuclear tests in the sea, close space and atmosphere because of the radioactive fallout. BANEBERRY was 10 kiloton unit, what was detonated 270 meters below the surface, and the depth was too small. The explosion caused the radioactive cloud and very high level of radiation. Two workers of that area got leukemia, because of that test. That nuclear test is very strange because the unit was shot so close to the Earth surface, and that caused the high level of radiation.
