The purpose of this vehicle is to blind enemy satellites and destroy them at the low earth orbiter. The laser light can destroy satellites CCD-cameras and that system is used to cover military secrets in some military installations. The purpose of that system was to deny the satellites to take photographs of some areas. And in theory that was very effective. But in the real life, the problem was, that laser blinding increased the interests of some targets, and they were photographed more intensive than before. The laser tank is equipped with multiple lasers, what gives the limited energy pulse, and the idea of this system is similar to some rockets, what have small engines, but the number of the engines is bigger.
