In the original song, the woman used witchcraft to make this thing happen. Of course, somebody can claim, that this witch was some kind of alien, what closed this poor Viking-soldier inside the fourth dimension because she wanted to marry this Viking. But then we can think some more natural reasons for that trapping, and this time we can forget those aliens. First thing, what we can think, is that this woman used some narcotic mushrooms or vegetables to make this Viking-soldier an addict to the drugs, what this witch used for controlling that man.
