The tale of the Derringer "hand cannon"

Derringer-pistol is a very powerful weapon, what is made for close-range self-defense. It's small, effective and dangerous. There are many calibers of this famous weapon, and the CIA has made the agent-version of this pocket pistol, what looks like cigarette-lighter. If that box is airtight, and the weapon made by anti magnetic materials, that could be easier to carry in the aircraft. But there is one thing, what made this small size pistol very well known. It was used in the assassination of President Lincoln, and this made the very big reputation for pistol, what was found in pockets of gamblers and also many persons of law enforcement carried it for the backup gun for close combat situations.


The normal way to carry this weapon was in the holster, what was in the arm of the skirt, where it was easy to take, and where normal people didn't know to look at it. But there is one thing, what made the weapon what was used in the Lincoln case interesting. That particular 44-caliber prime-lock pistol had the rounded barrel, what could allow using extended barrel in that weapon. The extended barrel would be equipped with the screw thread and the barrel could veil as the cane.


There is the story, that modern Derringers have been equipped with the hexagonal outer layer, because that would be confessed, that the screw thread was not in use. But in fact, the screw thread could be inside the barrel, and the extended part could be put inside the veil. The extended stock could be made by iron stick, and it could be similar, what is used in the assault rifles. The pistol grip must be equipped with the piece, where this stock could be put. And the extended barrel allows using the telescope sight, and this could be one version of this famous handgun, and that allows to use it also for hunting or some other missions. If the caliber is powerful enough, this weapon could be effective many things.
