Is this picture an instruction how to make the optical illusion with spiral? (Picture 1) |

In the picture above the text is a figure of the ancient astronaut, or maybe this is not an astronaut at all. It can be picture or instruction how to create the optical illusion, by using rotating plate, where is drawn the spiral form. Another is so-called “hypnotic spiral” and the second one would be “Van Gogh effect". If the plate would rotate before the observer sees the certain type of picture, that picture seems like moving. This optical trick is very common in the circus and other art happenings.
And it is the very influential experience. That kind of tricks was more influential in the prehistoric time, and the only thing, what this person needs is the high-speed plate, where is drawn the spiral shape and the painting, what is drawn by the certain way, and that might cause the effect, that the animals or other things were moving. So in this text, I will give the hypothesis that this picture is an instruction about making the visual effect of this kind of optical trick.
In the painting must be spiral shape, and the effect is caused by the function of our brains. The brain would predict the things, and because before the painting the brains see rotating the spiral shape, the brains would think that the picture you see after the spiral is also moving. There are two links below the text, where you can see, how this optical trick is done. Those things might be very impressive at the time, where even the neurons were not known at all. And because normal people had not even information that optical tricks are possible, they have thought that those priests were some kind of supernatural characters, what had magical power, and capacity to make supernatural things.
