We all know the story of the Francisco Pizarro, the man who conquered the Inca-state and made those people slaves. This man was later executed by Spanish vice-king in Havana, and this supposes to be the end of the story of this man, who collected the outstanding number of gold from those Indians. There is only one thing, what we must notice when we are talking about this man. Many of the reports what this man sent to Havana claimed to be faked because there are many similarities between the reports what another conquistador Hérnán Cortés send to vice king about his victories. One of the most well-known incidents between the conquistadors and Indians went like this: Indians called the conquistadors to their capital, and then started to throw the stones and shoot the arrows against them.
And after that those men were able to flee from those cities. This similarity made the vice-king suspected that those reports were lying, and they were made same persons. When we are looking at the death of Pizarro, who was officially assassinated in his palace, we must understand that this man was probably killed by men, who were working for Spanish King. Pizarro was many times resisted the direct orders, what came from the governor, and that was the reason that this man was suspected about the attempt to make revolt against the Spanish crown.
The reason for those suspects was also made so-called induction conclusion, that Pizarro was collecting an army in Peru, and that man became the threat to the King of Spain. One interesting thing is in the stories, what was told about Pizarro, and it was that this man was spoken with Indians when one priest worked as the translator. And the question is that, "how that priest understood and knew how to speak Indian language"? Who thought that language to that priest? That level language is very difficult, and if Incas were not know how to read, how they made their contracts and kept the law and order in that kingdom?
The persons who wanted to give this information to the ears of vice-king suspected that Pizarro and his conquistadors had the plan to train those Indians as the European style soldiers, and then use them in the fight against the crown of Madrid. In fact, some of those stories were told by the competitor of Pizarro, the man named Almagro, who had right to rule Chile. But that land was very poor, and the Atacama desert caused many deaths in his troops.
That was broke the relations between Pizarro and Almagro, who began to fight. When we are thinking about the method, what the King of Spain used to rule the conquistadors was that other conquistadors were got very much gold, and another must get back with empty pockets. This was exactly same method what made Romans so effective users of power. Only one thing about the Indians relationship with the cold is how their culture was so similar than European.
They also thought that gold was very expensive material, what is the good base for economics. When we are thinking, why Pizarro's reports started to keep faked was because he had only 106 conquistadors against the army of Incas. And then there were claiming that Pizarro didn't even have enough bullets for his famous rifles. And if he lied about the fate of the Indians who were fought under the command of general Quizquiz. The state of Incas was collapsed before Spanish arrived, but if there would be 30 000 Indians, who would take orders from Pizarro, would that cause problem to the Spanish crown.
There is a couple of things, what are remarkable in the personality of Pizarro. He liked the garrote as the equipment, what was suitable for punishing his enemies, and both of his main enemies Inca King Atahualpa and Almagro met their fate by strangler, under the eyes of Pizarro. When we are thinking about the Pizarro´s rank as vice-king of Spain in Peru, we must say, that maybe the promotion was fake. The purpose of that paper was to make Pizarro strut one's staff, and then the king could give execution order to that very uncomfortable man. And after that, the King was just made the promotion after the death of Pizarro.
There are actually many unsolved deaths in the group of people, who conquered Peru. The first of those deaths was accident what faced lieutenant Pietro de Alvarado, the man who was the first enemy to Pizarro, and who were crushed under the horse. This man was known as the brutality of Indians. But sometimes I wonder, why all men who took part of that conquer were died by violence. Alvarado,s death was claimed caused by orders what came from Pizarro. And in some stories Pizarro was hung in Havana, but why Cortéz didn't face the violent end? All leaders who took part in the campaign in Peru died by the violent way, and the Indians shared the fate of those Spanish conquistadors.
Another thing what made those authorities suspicious, were the that the Indians, who were forced to carry gold to Spanish ships were so co-operative. And one of the most alarming thing about those reports was, that conquistadors reported that those Indians were extremely bad in combat situations. Their fortresses like Machu Pichu were high-class work, but those people didn't even try to fight the real fight against Spanish formations. The Indians had very bad tactics, and their way to go to war, were that single men run against those mercenaries. And because Indians like Aztecs and Incas were so bad in combat, the vice-king and conquistadors began to think, how so bad warriors were able to conquer other lands.
The reason for collapse of the Incas and Aztecs were, that those Indians were conquer and make other Indians as slaves, but one question was hanging above those men, who were collecting cold and slaves for the crown of Spain, and that was, how those people could make anybody slave, because they had so bad army? How they conquered the land if they lost every single battle for 106 conquistadors? That question is very interesting, and one more thing should be mentioned by that very sad part of history. Cortés and Pizarro were not only conquistadors, who wanted to make all land as the part of Spain, and one of the most interesting part of the history is the case of Panama. This man was send to Central-America for looking for the road to Pacific.
This conquistador landed in the place, where is nowadays the State of Panama, and then he lost half of his men in that trip. Here we must ask one question about this bad luck conquistador, and that is: how did he knew, what is the most thin part of the isthmus of Central America? Who told that place to Spanish men, who were collected the gold from those people? And there is one very good thing what people would normally notice, when they are reading about conquistadors, the Aztecs and Incas have made their own conquers only short time before Spanish came to South-America.
And when we are thinking about the trip of Columbus in the year 1492, there is one question what hangs above this trip, where was the famous gold of Indians in that time? Who told the king of Spain the story of golden cities and gold, what just waits for taker? How Spanish could be sure, that their trip would not end in catastrophe, and that the Spanish crown would find enough gold, that they could pay to the conquistadors about their services? This is very interesting part of history, and I will return this thing again.
